Lime scale remover is acidic, and any acidic cleaner on calcareous stone will damage the stone.

That said, Bluestone is a sandstone, not a limestone.

That isn't to say you don't have a limestone that someone is calling bluestone. However, if you have actual Bluestone, depending on the finish, the whitish spots may be able to be resolved to a better result than could be done on limestone.

Please verify what you have, tell what the finish is, has it been sealed and if so, what with. Post pictures if you can, as a picture is worth a thousand words.
