Subject: Can I use granite/marble/quartz in outdoor BBQ?

I have a stone countertop place close to me that has a dumpster full of cut-offs, scraps, etc. of all kinds of stone. If it's not used, they crush it up for roadbed gravel. I'd like to find a better use, and would also like an outdoor BBQ. Can any of these types of stone (marble, granite, quartz, etc.) be used to build an outdoor BBQ? I've been reading about refractory mortar, and building BBQ's out of other types of stone, but can't find info on using these types of stone for this purpose.
